Your
Current Phone Number
Your Current Phone Number is the number that you used to register
your CallWave service. Calls to this number can be forwarded
to CallWave when your phone line is busy because you're online
or you're talking on the phone.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I forward
my calls when my line is busy because I'm online or talking
on the phone?
You'll need to turn on the "Call Forward On Busy" feature of
your current phone line. Any incoming call that would otherwise
hear a busy signal (because you were already online or on the
phone) would be forwarded to CallWave. If this feature hasn't
already been activated, have your local phone company forward
your "busy calls" to CallWave's number (1-800-380-4341) and
we'll deliver calls to you, even if you're online.

Phone Number?
A CallWave Phone Number is included with your CallWave service.
What is a CallWave Phone Number?
It's your own personal, private phone number that you can
give to your friends and family so they can reach you anywhere,
anytime - whether you're online, on the phone or away from
home. It doesn't require anything to be "installed" and you
can take this number with you if you move. And best of all,
it's included with your CallWave service!
How Does the CallWave Phone Number Work?
You can set your CallWave Phone Number to ring at any phone
anywhere in the United States — for example, your cell phone,
your work phone, your home phone or any number you choose.
When someone dials your CallWave Phone Number, the call is
immediately forwarded to your Call Location, and you can choose
to answer the call or let CallWave take a message. In addition,
if someone calls your CallWave Phone Number while you're online,
you'll see the caller's name and phone number in your CallWave
software window. You can screen the call before deciding if
you want to talk.
Note: Your CallWave Phone Number is a normal U.S.
phone number with a 775 area code.
How Does it Help My Callers and
Me?
Use your CallWave Phone Number as the phone number where you
can always be reached by friends and family. Tell them it's
your personal hotline number — they'll always be able to reach
you when they need you most. You can keep this number forever,
and whenever you move, change your home phone number or change
your cell phone number, you'll still be able to be reached
simply by changing the Call Location on your CallWave Phone
Number. Your callers won't have to remember a new number.
You could also use your CallWave Phone Number as a way to
protect the privacy of your home phone or cell phone number.
Your calls will ring wherever you want — on your cell phone
or home phone for instance — but you won't have to give out
your cell phone or home phone number, just give out your CallWave
Phone Number. You'll be able to receive calls, screen calls
and maintain your privacy at the same time.
Your CallWave Phone Number is also great when you're conducting
transactions on the Internet and you're required to enter
a phone number, for instance in profiles on eBay, PayPal,
Amazon, etc. You can even use your CallWave Phone Number as
your business line if you're starting or running a business
from home. Why give out your home number or cell phone number
when you can give your CallWave Phone Number instead?
