Online Caller ID & Caller Name
The Caller ID and Caller Name features enable you to see the telephone number and name of
the person calling you when you're online. Even before you hear a caller's message, you'll
see their name and telephone number displayed in the CallWave window. You'll know who called
even if they don't leave a message.

How do I enable Online Caller ID and Caller
Name?
There's nothing you need to do — Caller ID and Caller Name
are part of your CallWave service!
Do I need the Caller ID service from
my phone company?
No, you don't need the caller ID service from your phone company
to use CallWave's Online Caller ID and Caller Name service.
CallWave's Online Caller ID and Caller Name service only applies
to your CallWave service and not to your regular phone service.
Why are some calls showing up
as "Private" or "ID Blocked"?
In some instances, your callers might have their caller ID
blocked. You will know this when you see the words "Private"
or "ID Blocked" in your CallWave display during a new call
when you're online.
How can I set up my service so that
all calls show the Caller ID?
CallWave's "Private Number Screening" feature lets you see
caller ID when it would otherwise be blocked. When you turn
on Private Number Screening, your callers who have blocked
their caller ID will be requested (or required) to send caller
ID. Their telephone numbers will then be displayed in your
CallWave window.
Why are some calls showing as
"No Caller ID"?
In certain cases, your local telephone company won't pass caller ID information to CallWave,
which means we can't display the caller ID when you receive a call. In these situations your
CallWave display will simply read "New Call."
